Composition Lessons

Composition has a strong presence in GCSE, A-Level, and university curricula these days and not every school teacher has the ability to teach it. Having studied composition as a principal study at the Royal Academy of Music I am extremely qualified to teach both the basics and more advanced elements of the discipline.

Composition isn't, as is sometimes said, impossible to learn. I will help find the creativity within students and nurture it through both traditional studies of counterpoint and harmony, and more free and open forms of composing.

During my time as a student I wrote music for orchestral and chamber concerts, but also for films and TV adverts. Whether you want help with coursework requirements or simply want to start writing, I will figure out what it is you want to do and help get you there.
