Music Theory Lessons

Theory lessons can often be dull and seem far removed from what music is all about, but this need not be the case. As well as being necessary to progress Grade 5 (ABRSM) on any instrument, a good knowledge of music theory can hugely open up one's understanding of the shape and direction of music and ultimately improve performers.

I think it's best to integrate music theory into instrumental studies and focus the theory on the music you play, so the relevance isn't lost.
